Synapse 19

Great daily driver

I didn't know which backpack was going to fit my smaller frame (I'm 5"5) and after trying a few products from Tom Bihn I found the Synapse 19 was the answer. Incredibly well made, useful and deep compartments, low profile, comfortable straps.. this bag has it all. It's become my go-to travel bag and is showing zero signs of wear after taking it on 3/4 trips so far. Only gripe with it being a smaller bag is that your normal water bottle will likely not fit in the middle compartment.

I'd been looking at the Synapse 19 for a while and the black spectron/cerise halcyon combo was impossible to resist. I don't carry a laptop and appreciate a bag that doesn't give up space for a laptop pocket. An iPad or kindle travels fine inside without one. For a short ( 5'2") person who wanted one bag that would work as a personal item, EDC, and camping catchall, this is a great solution. The spectron does not attract pet hair, which is a bonus. If I could add one thing, it would be a small back pocket so documents and wallets could be carried closer to the body.

one can never have too many pockets. however, this bag may have too many pockets. i say that because i ran out of things to pack. i didn't have to bring an extra bag with me because everything fit - with room to spare. also, the bright pink lining ensures i can SEE EVERYTHING! my whole life i've been waiting for this bag, and my only regret is waiting so long to get my little hands on one. and by little, i mean in stature. i am 5'1 120lbs and it's ME SIZED. you're probably reading this thinking 'this person has clearly lost it', but you too can be in love with a backpack - just find the right bihn for you.
