If mostly into John Bannon's Self-Working DVDs and tricks - such as the Move 0 Set - which is awesome, this dvd is a nice addition as it covers packet tricks instead of the usual full routines usually to seen. The packet tricks require more sleight-style handling, although when used to handling small packets this is much easier than (say) DL or Triple Lifts with a full deck. It just takes a bit of time getting used to holding virtually no cards, adjusting grip, etc. You may well prefer to do packet tricks, as they pack punch in less time. A possible downside for the performer is remembering the sequence of moves, which may also be tough with a regular full deck self-working trick anyway. The good news is that there are only 5 tricks covered on the DVD - not too many or too much to remember - while also killer routines so no need for more. Plus there's a basic brilliant Bannon packet move useful to several tricks and fully explained. I doubt you'll find it elsewhere - certainly not in his Move 0 dvds. For Bannon's earlier work in card magic, decades ago, which was more sleight-based with a full deck, check out his Smoke & Mirrors DVD too. With Move 0, the current offering, and Smoke and Mirrors, you don't need to follow many other magicians if his style suits yours. With the reviewed item, the packet move taught can also be used to help you make your own packet tricks if inclined to invent rather than just learn existing tricks. With all the sources mentioned, there's the "high glory-to-pain" ratio that Bannon enjoys with his clever card magic that can nearly beat the best of sleights without moves (thinking mostly Move 0). For those more advanced with sleights, you will enjoy Smoke & Mirrors too. For any Bannon fan, who who likes a presentation by Liam, the packet tricks DVD reviewed is also awesome. Can't lose with this one. Great to be able to do both types of card magic described.
