Hate buying something twice

What do I think of the compost caddy side car? It’s a great aesthetic companion to the trash can/recycling product we bought less than 5 years ago when we moved into our new house. The lid on the compost caddy broke. When we contacted simplehuman for a replacement, we went around in circles trying to prove we bought it when it came as part of a set with the trash can and doesn’t have its own serial number. When we begrudgingly decided we just wanted to buy the replacement lid by itself? They don’t even have any in stock. Online forums suggest we are not the only ones who’ve had a failed lid. So how do I like my purchase? It sucks buying a full replacement for something that shouldn’t have failed in the first place, should have had the part replaced under warranty. Be better, Simplehuman.

Compost solution

This is a great compost bin for the kitchen. It attaches onto the trash can, even though I have an older model of Simple Human recycle/trash can. It won’t go on the side of mine, but it will hook right on the front. Works for me.

Nice little bin

Bought the Compost Caddy to use as a small trash bin. Unfortunately, my caddy had a glue stains between one of the joints. Not critical, but it would be nice to get a perfect item, given the price. Also, it would be nice if the measurements would have included the protruding attachment for the metal catch for the behind.
