CRB Rod Blank Deflection Tool

Great!

This is a great tool for anyone that works with unlabeled rod blanks. It lets you compare unlabeled blanks against known spec blanks to help accurately judge the specs of the unlabeled rod. Works well with the CRB Deflection chart

Great but not perfect

I love the rod blank deflection tool and I use it often as a rod designer for MAVRK Fly Fishing. But the tool isn't great when measuring rod action using the "string" test. As I pull on the string to get the tip vertical, the rod slips back. This tool needs an adjustable stopper plate at the butt of the rod to keep it in place. It also needs a loop (ring) so the string can pass through and come back to where I am standing, which is at the tip of the rod.
