Customer service at The Fiddlershop is superb and I would expect to pay significantly more for the quality of the violin and the set up they delivered.

First five string

Buying a brand new acoustic violin on line, without being able to play it first was a bit of a leap for me. The sample recordings for this one gave me the courage. Although the first one I ordered was "lost" (likely stolen ) in transit the customer service at Fiddlershop was excellent and my replacement arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I love it. The set-up is perfect the tone and playability of this instrument are high quality for the price. Really exceded my expectations.

Beautiful

So far I love the tone. A little closed but I expect it to open up as the violin is played. Switching the C string to the top peg allows a little extra length and seems to give the violin a deeper darker tone. I have three five string violins and this is the one I always reach for first.
