I didn't really think I would need the extender, but I'm glad I got it. My surgeon had instructed me to buy bras that fit like a comfortable sports bra (which was the case with the Hugger alone), but I needed the extender due to the swelling and surgical dressings.

Brilliant idea, I needed it at the beginning when my chest was swollen and then it is nice to be able to take it off when done.
