The Foundation Jacket

Nice, Light, Stylish Jacket

I bought The Foundation Jacket to replace my old spring jacket, that is perfect for 50-degree weather, that in-between temperature that requires just a little something to keep you warm on a cool day. This jacket is good for that! I love the uneven hem line, the diagonal zipper, and the deep pockets (pockets are key!). My only issue is that the zipper can be difficult to use sometimes. The first day I had to give up after many attempts to zip up. Since then, I've managed to do it with less difficulty, but I still think it shouldn't be hard at all. I was also taken aback by the care instructions: wash by hand, be careful with jewelry snagging on it, and don't use heavy straps with it. I mean. . . . Other than that, I like it a lot. I just hope the delicate material will hold up over time.

Architectural and Timeless

This jacket is exceptional. The cut and styling immediately took me back to my years in retail and reminded me of the beautiful architectural tailoring of early Comme des Garçons collections. The asymmetrical lines are incredibly flattering, modern, and sophisticated while still feeling effortless to wear. The fabric feels substantial and luxurious, and the overall design elevates even the simplest outfit.

Timeless and Stylish Wardrobe Staple

The jacket definitely exceeded my expectations. It’s really well tailored and has a great fit, but it’s also super comfortable to wear. It stands out without being over the top. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of it!
