GR1

Still legendary

This GR1 is a SCARS replacement for the same model purchased back in 2014. It's somehow even better. I haven't put it through many paces yet, but it will pretty obviously serve well for another 12+ years of heavy and varied use.

The backpack is excellent, and the quality lives up to expectations. One area for improvement, however, is inventory management. This isn't my first time buying from the brand—I previously purchased the GR2—but this time around, I couldn't choose the color I wanted because it wasn't available. I live in Argentina and only travel to the United States for vacations, so I don't have the option of waiting for the product to come back in stock. I believe they should maintain better availability, especially for the classic black model, which is the brand's best-selling and most iconic version.

BUILT

It’s a solid backpack. I’m enjoying rucking as a new hobby. I’d buy it again. I do however think it should come with sternum and hip straps when you’re paying what you are.
