Best Field Notes Cover Period
I started my pocket notebook journey looking for something to keep my field notes from getting frayed but still pocketable. I started with the mini field journal. And I loved it. But I work as an electrician. And putting it in my cargo pocket, the mini field journal lost its form and things would fall out. Like my 6 inch ruler. So. I grabbed this and it has solved most of my gripes. I love it.

Good Size
I ordered this worried I should have gotten the mini journal, but the size is great! Stays with me always and the ability to have multiple notebooks means I'm able to have one for personal and work purposes wherever I go. I suggest getting a writing utensil that can withstand getting sat on if you are like me and just keep in your pocket and forget about it. I'm average size and have broken a couple mechanical pencils by sitting on the thing. I now run a Uni Kuru Toga Metal with mine that works well and is sturdy. My only possible concern is the tip of the Uni looks like it might puncture the canvas when clipped on, but this may not be the case as it is too early to tell. The included journal is nice and compared to the 20 pack of no-name amazon books I got you can really feel the smoothness of the Tomoe paper. My one question to anyone though is if that is really worth it? If you want to be nice I say go for it, but it is a marginal improvement

This is exactly what I’ve been searching for. It’s the perfect size for my front pocket. As a contractor, I carry the planer notebook along with the grid book, which is great for sketching out design plans with measurements to determine the material needed. Highly recommend it!
