We got the ottoman along with the toggle couch/bed. As a couch, as others ha said, it isnt very good. When the back is up, i. e. , as a couch, the seat is very narrow. Without the ottoman the couch wouldn't be worth having. The ottoman makes the couch comfortable to sit on. The ottoman is exactly half the length of the bed, so if you had two ottomans you'd have a big bed with a lot of flexibility. But we got this for a guestroom bed that we could use as a couch in a small guest bedroom. The couch/bed isn't much smaller when the back is upright so it isn't a good choice for that purpose (plus not being a comfortable couch). As a bed it's ok, but not $1300 worth. Another major flaw is the way the metal legs stick out beyond both the bed and the ottoman. They are set at an angle which, I suppose, looks nice, but, my wife and I have both bruised our toes more than once. The pieces would be plenty stable with the legs recessed a bit or/and plumb rather than angled. So, in reviewing the ottoman, it is overpriced and has hazardous legs, but it makes the poorly designed couch/bed much more useful.

Nice piece. The legs were labeled incorrectly and one does not fit. Definitely makes the piece look cheap.
