Basix® DK Weight

This was the first yarn that I bought online, not having seen it or felt it in store. I thought that the quality was great, softer than I anticipated, which was nice. I also felt like the colors were pretty accurate, which can sometimes be difficult online. Overall, a really solid yarn and I will definitely purchase again.

My new favorite

I make baby blankets for a hospital auxiliary for newborns. This yarn is more affordable and just as nice as a brand I used before Joann Fabrics closed. So happy I found this quality yarn.

Unhappy

Two years ago, I loved this yarn and bought every solid colors in the basix dk as I do appliques in crochet. However, I have come to dislike this yarn. When using a new skein of yarn, I pull from the middle and every single time I can't find the starting pull and end up with over half of the guts out with the starting yarn still buried. It's like a tennis ball is being pulled out, (yes already pulled the outside yarn from the middle). This is not one or two skeins, this is all of the colors I bought in the dk. There hasn't been one skein I used yet that hasn't had this problem This is bad when I just needed a couple of yards or just a chain or two if that color. Now it takes me hours to fix. I also find it splitting when working it up, but that's not a deal breaker for me, just a pain when working front or back loops. Plus how this yarn takes to washing/drying. I have contacted premier over this twice, twice I never got a reply . So they know about the problem, yet remained silent. I have decided I'm not buying this brand anymore And they still don't have my name corrected
