Dillenger Front Wheel Motor

Initially I tried fitting the motor to a frame with Telescopic front forks but had difficulty a. in filing the axle slots to the required size, b. could not fit the battery to the down tube due to the cross bar being too low so bought a carrier to fit battery above the rear wheel and c. there was insufficient space on the bottom bracket between the pedal crank and the frame to install the speed sensor. I therefore decided to install the motor etc. onto a different bicycle where these items were not a problem. Unfortunately this bike does not have telescopic front forks and has caliper brakes, however, the installation went fine. There does seem to be generous amount of cable provided which I had to double back adjacent to the battery. I have ridden the bike several times and am very pleased with it. The reason I chose this particular motor was that wanted to end up with a relatively light bike to lift in and out of my car and I can do this fairly easily. Yours DHC
