I like how ready it catches on a fall (both beating as intended, or self belay on TRS). I wish there was an ease up on the friction when lowering. It does from caught to “let go”, and you are essentially lowering your climber on an ATC with a ‘catch handle’. It’s lightweight, and I like it. But I wouldn’t use it on a rope larger than 10mm and expect to pay our rope easily. But 10mm and under (it’s rated to 8.9mm) is a dream! I bought it as a primary device for TRS with a MT backup and it’s awesome! It catches your fall so fast! Again though, be diligent when lowering yourself and use gloves with the rope.
