Beautiful Alone, Even Better Layered

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Not a Perfume because it sounds almost too simple on paper, but that simplicity is exactly what makes it so good. On my skin, it’s a soft, clean, slightly warm musk that feels more like naturally beautiful skin than traditional perfume. What I love most is how incredibly versatile it is. It’s lovely by itself when I want something subtle and effortless, but I especially love using it as a base for other fragrances. It seems to add this clean, musky aura without competing with whatever I layer over it. I’ve paired it with everything from creamy sandalwoods to brighter florals and more sensual fragrances, and it just makes everything feel a little smoother and more cohesive. I also purchased the coordinating body products, and layering them creates the prettiest soft scent bubble without becoming overwhelming. This probably isn’t the fragrance I’d choose when I want something dramatic or immediately recognizable, but it has quickly become one of those products I reach for constantly because it works with practically everything. It’s understated, comfortable, sexy in a very effortless way, and an excellent layering fragrance.

I purchased Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume for the second time. I wish you still had the same kit I bought last year for my wedding but sadly it wasn’t available.

Favorite Fragrance Ever

Not a Perfume is my absolute favorite fragrance ever. People will stop me in stores to ask what perfume I’m wearing. Recently at the dentist office I had several staff members come in my room to ask about the fragrance I was wearing, they said it caught their attention when I just walked by them. It always gets attention, no matter where I go. I have given away so many little samples, I should be an ambassador for the product line. In addition to the perfume, I usually use the lotion, bar soap or body wash and the hand soap. The candles are very nice, I like to use them in my work office. It’s a great fragrance with a good variety of options to layer the scent.
