Exceeds Expectations

The Larivee OM 40 is an amazing instrument. You can tell right away that the craftsmanship that goes into these guitars. I love everything about it but one thing that really stands out to me is how resonate it is just by tapping on the the body…it’s like a drum. The low end compared to the OM-03 is much more present and really makes the guitar sound balanced IMO. As for looks the mahogany with maple binding is beautiful as is the rosette and purfling against the spruce top. The smell of the wood is amazing too! Buying at Shoreline has been a great experience. Extremely competitive pricing and generous return policy. I don’t ever see me parting with this guitar though. Highly recommended!

Best OM I've played in my life

It took a while to get it across the Atlantic but it's been worth waiting for. This guitar is a beauty in terms of both, looks & sound! Given the crystal clear tone and the extaordinary response it's very nearly unputdownable. Also it is very versatile: from Bluegrass to Bach playing it is just maximum fun! It's certainly my favourite OM if not my favourite steelstring altogether.
