I finally managed to dial in a punchy, powerful, and dense kick sound. The only problem is that, to keep it from sounding too repetitive, I had to spend a lot of time blending the original kick with another sample. It would be awesome if a future version of the plugin could support 3–4 different kick sounds within a single preset and randomly alternate between them, with slight random velocity variations. That would go a long way toward creating a much more natural and human-sounding performance.
