Opens a little harsh...settles into a smooth smoky scent.

Piercing and altogether unpleasant. I am a fan of old school scents, but this one is a definite pass. Shame, as it is very potent with eternal longevity. If you want a classy, quality patchouli fragrance go with vintage Givenchy Gentleman - and it won't break the bank.
