A nifty tool with a variety of uses such as cutting beads on between center pieces, forming a chucking foot on a bowl, and making plunge cuts on boxes. What makes a 5-star 3/8” bedan?
I purchased this tool to mow through wood to make stems and tenons. It does this effortlessly with its sharp edge and perfect width. Then I watched some YouTube videos and learned how to use the edge of the tool to cut beads and shallow coves. Though I am still learning the versatility of this tool, I am very happy to own it and to grow with it -- and the wonderful handle that came with it.

3/8 Bedan
I have several Carter and Sons lathe tools and have found them to be well made, balanced, and of the highest quality. The 3/8 bedan did not disappoint either.
