Absolutely necessary

The bow was wandering relentlessly at idle speed. The Orca Performance Fin, with no drill clamp set, completely solved the problem. Easy to install. No downside at all...except it apparently worked itself loose and fell off. I'm pretty sure I had as tight as possible but who knows...? and I may have bumped it...? Anyway well worth a second purchase. (I'll just be sure to check on it more frequently :)
