Fantastic color kit for adding vintage charm!
This brush pack is fantastic and has revived my passion for creating retro art, comics, and t-shirt prints. Being able to paint, blend, and control halftones is fun and helps gives my work that vintage charm. The included color and skin tone reference charts are super helpful and easy to follow. The included paper textures are great too!

great results!
I've tried this toolset for canvases of 4000 x 3000 pixels on a 300dpi quality and I'm really happy with the results. Brushes aren't locked-in with the CMYK colors, so you have to double check when you change colors and brushes. Also, it's better to use them along with duplitone as the Colorlab brushes only offer 3 levels of black while duplitone offers 10 giving you a wider gamma for shadows. The color guide is a little bit confusing because it jumps right away to the colorlab+duplitone combo so if you buy it and don't have duplitone, just look a the first 2 rows to have an idea of how much Black (K) is needed with the Colorlab provided brush. Shader brushes work well and will help you add even more depth to your drawings. This pack comes with a set of papers that really have the old comic-book style we are all looking for and the brushes also have a "clean" and a "rough" version that may give worn-out results but I didn't use them enough. In conclusion: This is a really good and complete toolset if you are looking for that retro comic book style with brushes that can be used in different color combinations, not only CMYK and the paper textures have a good quality and good effect that can be seen without creating too much protagonism but without becoming an NPC.

I Went From Stupid To Smart!
ColorLab is truly amazing. I have other brushes that mimic newsprint halftones, but there is no explanation for how to properly use them (aligning, color choices, blend modes). So after repeated attempts with other halftone brush packs, I was left feeling stupid and gave up on trying to master the "old school" look that I love from comic book reading. But with ColorLab (and one of RSCO's How-To videos), I was able to reproduce the cheesy, dirty, wonderful looks from years gone by. Thank you, ColorLab, for making me look smart!!
