This bathing suit is everything I want in a sexy but comfortable one piece. It's soft, fits well, and you can tell it's made with care and thoughtfulness for women of many sizes and shapes. The suit is very flattering. I like wearing it with shorts on a summer day.

From Hoosier to Stryker - one happy customer

I had been thinking of buying a Strange Bikini for some time. I visited the store in early July 2020 and picked up the burnt sienna/orange Hoosier suit. I felt so good supporting this local, woman-owned small business, rather than going to a big box store. I also love all of the good this company does in our local community. I loved the way the medium Hoosier fit me ( I'm 5'9 and weigh 155-160 with a 34C bust and a 29-30 waist). Super flattering style and fit. After getting the suit I wore it to Tahoe for the first time about 5 days after my purchase. I noticed some of the stitching around the neck of the suit was coming undone as I got settled in at the beach. I also noticed after wearing it, when I got home, that my sunscreen didn't jive with the fabric. I went back to the store to see about having the stitching repaired on the suit and shared my sadness related to the staining I experienced. I'd tried to launder the suit, twice, in gentle-free detergent before I went back to the shop, but the stains didn't budge. When I returned to the store, Ashley in the shop was amazing. She offered to call the Strange Bikini owner to see how she wanted to handle my issue with the suit. Ali, the owner, decided to let me swap out the Hoosier for the Stryker (also in a size M). She shared with Ashley that she'd never seen a staining issue like I experienced (be careful using your sunscreen with the fabric - Zinc free is probably a good bet.). Ali offered me a Hoosier in a different color, or I could swap for something else. I decided to go with the Stryker in the retro palm print. I felt the lighter color would be a bit more forgiving when I slather on my Coppertone Sport sunscreen. The fabric used to create these monokini's IS AMAZING. It feels like a second skin, and holds its shape. I am very happy with the monokini I purchased and would encourage anyone interested in Strange Bikini's to go and check them out. Amazing suits. Excellent customer service. Care for the environment. Local, woman-owned biz. I felt very comfortable in the store. They are following all of the recommended guidelines for COVID-19 and even ask you to go and wash your hands as soon as you enter the store.
