Mace, the spice of life, and everything pumpkin.

I like pumpkin in any form—soup, pie, roasted with EVVO and any kind of nuts, sunflower seeds, etc. Mace adds such depth to it all, and it’s hard to find in the local supermarkets. Thank you, My Spice Sage.

When I was a little girl in Chicago there was a bakery down my street that sold apple squares. It wasn’t until in my 20’s that I figured out the spice used in that apple treat. It was mace, since then I have found it is the secret spice that makes all fruit pies and custards excite your taste buds which makes the flavor last and causes you to crave it more. It’s a perfect spice for all Christmas goodies.
