Wearable Art
With the rise of niche and independent perfumery, there's a lot of avant garde stuff out there -- it's interesting but not necessary something I'd reach for. But Fayoum? This is totally unusual and also utterly wearable art. Sticky dates, sweet figs, a little grassy whiff, and this gorgeous, earthy, mineralistic punch of damp clay. Dana is such a mind-blowing talent and I am completely stumped on which full sized bottle to get.

It's the driest scent I can imagine, but with a lot going on. Unique and really great.

Really loving my sample, I can't get enough. Rich, damp clay -- fecund and feculent -- pairs beautifully with the dried dates and figs. Mine starts off sweet and slightly more feminine before settling into a mineral androgyne. Feels like I'm being molded to life nose-first from the earth. Extremely impressed and will be buying more once I finish my sample!
