Why not bone saddle and nut?
This is a great guitar with a great Mohogany sound. I don’t know what material the saddle and nut were but I suspect a softer type of material. I changed the saddle to bone due the original strings were already cutting deeper into the saddle. I had intonation problems with the treble E & B strings. I replaced the saddle with a good bone one. Then changed the strings to D’addario Phosphor Bronze XS, .12-.53. The intonation was better and sounds fantastic. The nut needs changed as well because the E treble sting is cutting too deep in the nut, still causing minor intonation. I will change it soon to bone. That kept me from giving it 5 stars because the nut and saddle looked worn, like a composite softer plastic. I’m no expert but now it sounds like I expected. The guitar build and quality is very good. Thanks

Orangewood Sage review so far
I would like to be able to give a five-star review. However I have not been able yet to get the action the way I would like it. I am definitely not a fan of the strings that came with the guitar, so I will change those and perhaps adjust the truss bar slightly. Hopefully that will make a difference. Otherwise the guitar sounds nice and appears to be well made. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Great sound, better value
The full sound from the Sage was a welcome surprise. My idea was to have a “traveler”. This is one that I reach for almost every day (gotta keep the others from feeling neglected). Very playable.
