Valerian Root

Valerian Root is not for me. But Sullivan St. T&S Co. is amazing!!

First off, Sullivan St. Tea & Spice Co., you all are still my favorite. You are awesome and I love your teas. Its hard for me to give a low review because I love this company but I'm writing this for a forewarning to other first-time Valerian root buyers; I did not expect Valerian root to have such a pungent smell. If I'm being honest, I believe I made it too strong and found it very distasteful. This is all more reason for me to believe Sullivan St. Tea & Spice Co. takes pride in providing the freshest tea's and spices. However, Valerian root was hard to stomach. I've only tried it once so far and haven't had the courage to give it another go. Lemon juice did help to mask its potency but was still difficult to drink. I also had to light a candle because its smell was so strong it lingered in my kitchen after steeping (haha). I could use recommendations from experienced Valerian root drinkers. I want to like it since it has many benefits. I'll only use teaspoon of valerian root to steep in my (2 cup serving) kettle next time. Hopefully its an acquired taste that I'll get used to. But for a first time try... yuck (haha)! I needed a forewarning. Perhaps include measurement instructions of some sorts in the shipment for newbies? I hope you understand. Thank you for everything.

Best Tea you're gonna find

I used to go to the store before covid but after covid I ordered their tea online. Tea came in great condition and I trust these guys to deliver a great product, which they do.
