This is a Keeper

I have been on the fence about buying an air fryer for a long time. But I also don't buy a lot of foods for frying because I know how unhealthy actual deep frying is. I finally broke down and bought this model which I think is the middle size. I had bought frozen lumpia (sort of like very skinny eggrolls but with meat) from an Asian market and waited to get this fryer to cook them. I'm impressed. Totally crispy. I used zero oil. The instructions I googled said brushing with oil is optional in a fryer and I opted to go without. My only disappointment is that some foods you can only use the bottom of the basket. Unlike french fries, you can't just fill the basket. So even tho' this was a medium size meant for 2 people, it really was not big enough. 8 lumpia fit comfortably on the bottom (they are very skinny rolls). I wound up making a second batch while we were eating and had 3 left over. Next time I will make the first batch earlier and wrap in foil so both batches are ready for dinner. I'm also going to look into a small rack that might fit inside so that I could make 2 layers at once. Not sure that will work but it's worth a try. If you have a healthy appetite and plan to do a lot of items that are bottom layer only, I would recommend the larger size even if there are only 2 of you. For a single person this would be perfect.
