ThunderCap for Dogs

Excellent. Really makes a big difference for my dog and her reactivity in the car. I brought the ThunderCap to our seamstress to make the noseband bigger/looser and replace the elastic with one that is more gentle and stretchy and now my dog feels comfortable wearing it longer. Thank you! Great product.

It works great for my very reactive dog in the car. We use it every trip because our dog, Maks, does not like semi trucks nor motorcycles, and always has to bark and snap at them whenever he sees one. He also goes back and forth in the backseat (on a tether) looking out the windows for any animal, people, or even a haystack to bark at. Once this cap is on, he is calm, and will lay quietly on the center console. The downside is he knows how to take it off very quickly by sticking his paw in the part by his eye, where there is nothing to hold it on, and pushing it over his nose. If this wasn’t so easy for him I would definitely give five stars. We recommend it for anyone with a dog who likes to bark, and have given the information about where we ordered it from to several people, Once we explain to them what it is, (because many have never seen one before) how it works, and how much it has helped us keep him calm in the car or at the vet or groomer, the ones with dogs with similar behaviors want to know how they can get one. This is the second one I have purchased, Unfortunately, the new one came the lower velcro strap tether not sewed onto the cap on one side, but it still works. I’m just a bit disappointed in the quality now.

Too tight overall but great in theory

It was too small over all but I got the extra large. I tried to cut the fabric to loosen but that didn’t work either. I think if it was comfortable for her to wear without tight elastic band around nose it would have been helpful for her anxiety. Thank you
