Book too advanced to 2 year old too confusing

This is such a beautiful book! The colors are vibrant and the illustrations (as always from this artist) are very lovely. The book is extremely sturdy - our 18-month-old is very tough on board books, and so far this one has withstood the test. The book is, in a way, two books in one - there is an upper half-page that displays colors, which flips independently from the lower half-page, which displays illustrations which demonstrate a color. Brilliantly, the illustration pages do NOT track exactly by page number with the color pages (meaning, page 1 of the illustrations does NOT illustrate the color on page 1 of the color pages, although every color page does have a matching illustration somewhere in the book). Heartily recommended.
