You can tell as soon as it’s applied that it makes the dip more durable.

Piano Black HyperDipped Chevy Emblem
Overall experience was great HyperDipping the rear Chevrolet badge on my 2023 Chevy Suburban Z71. I have past experience with PlastiDip— blacked out all chrome trim and all badging on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The HyperDip goes on thinner. I did three (3) light tack-coats followed by 6 modest wet coats. I had reached out to Fonzie about whether I should tape out the black center of the Chevy badge, or just dip the entire badge. He advised that because there was no natural “edging” inside the Chevy badge, to just dip the entire badge. Not only was this an easier task, but it came out perfect. The textured black center of the badge still maintained its look and texture, while keeping the piano gloss black uniform for the entire badge. Looks like a stock, blacked out badge. I did use aftermarket black and red “Z71” emblems to replace the black, red and chrome originals on both front side fenders. I installed aftermarket “Recon” smoked OLED taillights and vinyl covered the rear bottom reflectors and rear, top center brake light to complete the blackout look. HyperDip was an excellent tool with my mods!
