NexStar Evolution 8" SCT

I have water a telescope for some time now and this year was the time. Celestron is the leading manufacturer for quality scopes and I wanted a scope that was portable, reliable, and easy to set up. The NexStar Evo 8” SCT was that scope. I have been able to view multiple stars and planets with ease. The ability to connect to my iPhone using Celestron’s app and built in Wi-Fi allows for field viewing without the need for wi-fi connectivity. I went with the 8” diameter scope and the built in LiPo4 battery so not to have to carry an external battery or power supply. The handheld control is easy to use and set up, however, I would recommend reviewing some of the YouTube videos that are out there, which are very informative. Being that I purchased this during the winter viewing, has been very limited, so I am excited to be able to use it during the spring in the summer especially in darker locations than my backyard.
