ICEY-TEK Classic Large Hinge Replacement (Pair)

I bought my cooler 20 years ago and have used it daily in my charter business, commercial fishing operation and in multiple tournaments over the years. It has only spent a few days in garage, but lives in the boat or truck. It took 20 years before the first sign of wear and tear. I made a call and a new set of hinges were delivered with in a week. I’m willing to bet this cooler last another 20 years! Great product, great service, and great company!

Used the latch and stainless screws supplied. Utilized a dremel with a cutoff wheel to delicately remove to remove the original broken hinges. Used a file for a flush fit before install. Filled the hinge cavity and hardware holes with 3M 5200 as a precaution. All removal and install were done with hand tools. After letting the hinges sit and allowing the 5200 to cure for a week (even though it’s 24 hour cure), seems like every piece of hardware required for replacement wants to pull out whenever you open the cooler on this 270 split lid. See video listed. Can supply images of original broken hinges. Cooler is kept on boat, boat is stored on trailer in warehouse. Can supply original invoice/receipt upon request. Not really happy with this now.
