Perfect!
I was looking for a backpack to carry daily that was big enough for my computer and stuff but small enough to be convenient to use every day. Bag is perfect. Only wish is for a key hanger but I can add that!

Perfect pack for 4th grader
My kids are small for their age, so they’ve used their Grom packs since kindergarten. This year with “hybrid” learning, they’re only at school twice a week and they have to bring their issued Chromebooks with them when they attend. I decided it was time to upgrade so a slightly bigger pack with a padded laptop space. This pack is much bigger and holds a ton, but isn’t so big that it’s hurting my 4th grader on the back of her knees when she walks. The side pockets are perfect for her water bottle, but if you had a wider hydroflask (with a M or larger base) I don’t think it would fit. I know that Dakine packs last for years, so I always know that I’m getting great quality and I’m sure that pack that will follow her through school. My 14 year old has had his since campus since 4th grade as well and it’s still in great shape.

Love this for my tween
She is always thrashing around and the pink is a stone looking pink. She can take it camping/hiking and it washes up fine and isn’t too noticeable if it is a little dirty. We got matching luggage aswell. It’s a pretty tomboy pink/grey/purple color and the pockets are useful even the cooler pouch!
