It's a good product.
The new connector is more advanced than the previous one. The design and texture are perfect. It was a little difficult for me to install, but I completed it.

finicky
cons: 1) soldering posts are totally convex, so the joints are like frogs on a log. 2) threads are tiny, alignment is next to impossible. 3) insulation material melts while soldering, probably not real teflon. 4) barrel does not have any kind of locking mechanism, randomly comes unscrewed

DIY 2-pin connector
As a baseline one thing I am truly appreciate about the Null Audio products I bought (two different cables and most recently the DIY 2-pin connectors) is the excellent quality.
The connectors themselves are easy to handle and sturdy, aided by screw on metal sheath. I still waiting for a maker who brings about and integrated cable retention feature. Still without this the connectors are nicely designed and of high quality materials. I tinkered with Eidolic connectors a while ago but these seem to match their performance.
