Sharp Skate 4 BE (Blade Edition)

Great guide, but needs some modifications/touch ups from the user

This guide is great and provides unmatched stability when sharpening woodworking tools. The only downside of it is the complexity of it's structure. The side screws got damaged fairly quickly and needed a replacement / rethink to be done. Another area of attention is the steel bar on the bottom, the one that is in the contact with the stone. After using the guide for a while it was ground down almost completely and a replacement bar 6mm in thickness needed to be made, with the appropriate holes drilled for connector screws etc. Apart from these small challenges with maintenance tasks can only say good things about this guide. This is a must have tool for anyone who is looking for an efficient tool that will help him/her to keep own plane blades/chisels in prime razor sharp condition.
