I’ve been making a lot of swimsuits lately, and this one was a little disappointing. The legs of the suit are a little baggy, and could probably be improved with either clear elastic or adapted for foldover elastic. (I did compare my finished pieces to the pattern, and there didn’t appear to be an issue with the spandex swimsuit fabric I upcycled for the suit - the legs are just cut loose in this pattern.) There’s also some gap in the back sides, and an odd fit around the front at the armscyes that could use some work. The neck and back closures call for small bra hooks, but the finished straps are 3/4” wide - way too wide for a small bra hook, and a larger hook would be a fairly large scale. I decided to use ultra thin hook and loop tape instead, which did work. I liked the coverup a little more … I used a very thin microfiber yoga towel, and the separating zipper was easy to install. I did not try the shoes. Some areas of the pattern were confusing to follow - because it’s a modified bundle of several patterns, there were references to pieces that were not included that made me double check several times to be sure I was following the pattern correctly.
