We use a PIR sensor in our greenhouse to let us know if people are stealing our hard work -- but more than anything, the Temp/Humidity sensors are what we are most excited about. The wealth of knowledge we've gained since installing them is immense, definitely recommend them to anyone who can benefit from such info.

I needed to scare off a neighbors cat that'd been invading our garage at night. Used the PIR to trigger a WEMO switch via IFTTT. Works pretty well, though there's a bit of latency in the whole system. I have a FLIR FX camera at the same site with its own motion trigger and it starts recording instantly. WEMO activated a shop vac and work lights. Super funny watching the cat split. Suggested improvements: 1. The APP interface could be more clear as to feature function. That said, it seems to be extremely customizable. 2. I'd love for the system to run locally rather than on the cloud. We have spotty internet so that's an issue. Maybe a Synology APP?

Works well, but still some rough edges.

I put sensors on my garage doors. The range is OK, but not great, and I occasionally get notifications way late, like half an hour or so. Other times I get two in a row. The app on Android needs a little polish - it's hard to find various settings and clicking "back" sometimes jumps you out of the app. Trying to decide if I want to try to integrate a camera into this, or if I should just bite the bullet and by a true video system. Too soon to tell.
