I've always had plates that came with the boots in the past and been happy enough. But on building my own set of skates with Double Threat, I decided to spend a bit more to see how much of a difference it made. I've been riding these new plates with Wifa boots for a couple of Months now and the difference was really surprising, I didn't realise how responsive the plates could be and what a difference it makes to your skating! Cornering is effortless (Id always thought that you just needed to put a bit of effort in!) and makes skating for longer much more comfortable. They come with the medium hardness Cushions/Bushings and the kingpin nut is adjustable by increments by a very clever cushion cup, so nice and easy to adjust depending how you like to skate. You can easily replace the cushions for harder and softer as well. The toe stops are solid and will last a long time. I've replaced them for Jam Plugs, as I've started Jam skating and it was really easy to do. Very happy with my purchase and the advice and help from all the staff at Double Threat Skates! Keep up the good work! Oh yeah, I went with the Blue colour plates which look awesome too!
