I am not a fisherman. My days are filled with competitive sailing. There are always winds, and as expected, hats frequently get lost. Almost all sailing gear companies sell hat keepers. Harken, Ronstan, and West marine to name a few. They all are made of inferior materials and are more expensive than Dr. Slick's. The salt water environment is harsh on all materials, but Dr. Slick's hat keepers stand up and secure your hat day after day. I often give Dr. Slick's hat keepers as gifts.
