Wintergreen C/S for tea.
I received the wintergreen on the 12th of Nov of 2024 by mail. It was well packaged and contained in a resealable zip seal plastic bag. I used about a teaspoon of the dried leaves to make a tea in a standard coffee cup that I steeped for about 10 minutes. The flavour was pleasant, no bitterness, not too acidic and slightly sweet, even without sweetener. No adverse gastrointestinal effects from the tea. My intention is to use it for the Salicylates in Gaultheria procumbens as an alternative to ASA. I am a retired biochemist so this experimentation comes through an informed perspective.
