Love Linen

Linen is my base as it pairs with any other color from Lichen and Lace range. . . Resulting in a glamourous heirloom piece. Used it as a based tone for a tuck stitch plaid. . . faboulous!

It's Perfect

The colour is exactly what I envisioned. The pictures don't capture the tonality and grace of this colour. I cannot wait to knit my wedding shawl with this yarn!

Mini skeins for landscape with ocean portrayal

I purchased a mini skein to represent sand on a beach on the Big Island. I love its subtle changes in tone. I am combing it with shroom to give more texture and color to the sand with rocks and lava. My guage swatch portrayed the sand perfectly. I also purchased mini skeins in blues to represent the ocean. They are sooo wonderful and blend well in portraying the subtle colors of the ocean at different depths. Additionally, I purchased soot for the lava. I love these yarns because the slight variations in color offer such depth. I generally combine yarns to get such an effect. I also am using a couple of the greens for the trees surrounding the beaches. I am very excited about this shawl project to gift to a friend for Christmas.
