Sturdy. Fits my 17.3 inch laptop, documents, and water bottle well. Doesn't feel heavy when carrying on my back. Wish the front zippered compartments were larger to hold more items. The top zippered compartment can only hold my phone and bottom zippered compartment can only hold 2 pens and some post it notes. There is a good sized pocket behind the bottom zipper to slip things in but would have liked a zipper on it to keep things from not falling out.
