So far so good. I have not had this pack in the field yet but chose this over the metcalf because of the organizational capabilities. It packs down nicely as I order both to compare and returned the metcalf. It’s slightly larger but with removing the top bag it’s size is close to the metcalf. Very manageable if you need a little extra room and better organization. Weight is negligible. So that being said and packing up this pack. I am very pleased. It will work as a day pack compressed down and allows versatility when you need more space.

Jack of all trades

If you are looking for a pack that can be used as a day pack or a multiple day pack it does it all. The fit is amazing and super comfortable. By far the best pack that I’ve even tried. Also it’s the best deal for the money!

Beartooth 80

This pack fits everything i need for back country fly fishing, big game and spring turkey. I love the durability and the frame, i was torn between the beartooth and the terraframe. I dont like too many pockets on the exterior of the pack because i misplace things and end up bringing more than i really need.
