Excellent (and fun) program , with results!
At 56 years old I come to the strength (but not fitness) game later in life. The past three years I've been an active member of a fitness-with-weights gym, have outgrown their program and bought myself a half-rack, barbell and some weights. I've followed a couple of programs but not had the confidence to push myself beyond my fitness-gym limits. Having bought this (and the bench press) guide I've found them both an informative read with some cues and ideas I'd not tried before and a really good 12-week plan. From my perspective the plan is very good and for a first pass through, I got a 10% gain, a new 1RM and my first "big" deadlift goal of 2025 achieved - 2 x bodyweight. Had I not hit my 2 x bodyweight goal, I would still have been very satisfied with my progress... my form is better, I am stronger and have a much better framework to model my workouts on. I have just started my second run through the program and am looking forward to some more gains over the next few months. In a world full of YouTube videos and subscription program offerings by many lifters, I find it refreshing that for such a small outlay I get everything I need. I'm a happy lifter!
