Useful underlay

This underlay helps keep the rug in place ( in our case on an oiled oak floor) and makes it a bit softer underfoot. That said, I have also used strong double-sided tape to anchor the rug in places where, because of the direction of foot traffic, the underlay did not prevent the rug from turning up at a corner and becoming a trip hazard.
