Impossible

We have three-digit temperatures every day now in late summer. We paid for multiple ice packs and faster shipping in hopes that the caramel candy would survive. When the delivery arrived, not only had the ice packs melted, they were quite warm, acting as little heaters. The miracle of it all is that Hammond’s vintage use of wax paper for wrapping each delectable morsel meant there were only a very few sticky messes. All of the candies were warm and softened, but only four were impossible to try to separate from the caramel without getting little bits of paper mixed in. In this incredible heat, it was a miracle to be able to enjoy perfect caramel after caramel day after sweltering day. But perhaps NOT because of the ice packs!

I purchased your lemon flavored hard candy for my wife. She absolutely loves them; they are her go to candy.

Charged for an ice pack?

It’s strange to be charged $5 for an ice pack in July when ordering items that can melt. This should be included for obvious reasons. It was completely thawed and liquid upon arrival.
