Great alternative to mounting

I just had my house stuccoed and was looking for another way of mounting my Eley hose reels. I did not want to mount them on the house again. Put in some 4x6 posts and using this kit solved all the problems. I will say it was a bit tight mounting it to one of my 4x6 but the other one went on fine. Highly recommend.

The wood post mount that I used was sturdy, but it requires some finesse to install. Because the "ears" or mounting studs are loose to make the fit, marking the holes for drilling was difficult. If the ears could be designed to travel horizontally only to fit the post, that would simplify the process. A small track that restricts movement to a horizontal width for the post would be helpful. Then tightening the ears and marking the post would be much easier.
