Betcha Bottom Dollar is a perfect blend of covers, originals and reinventions. A couple of old staples like the Andrews Sisters' "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Mr. Sandman" that I've been waiting to hear from this amazing trio. Their reimaginings of modern songs tickle the heart in wonderful ways. Taking on Kate Bush and Blondie was such perfect choices; taking some of the brooding yet melodic pieces from the '80s and giving them the lighthearted lift of three part harmonic jazz. What a treat! I'm waiting for a Siouxsie and the Banshees cover. Lately things have felt pretty dark on this side of the pond, and this album is just what I need to brighten a day.
