A rare pleasure — and visible results
I have never written a skincare review before, but Dr Sam’s has rather compelled me to make an exception.
Believe me, I have tried an almost indecent number of products. I see my dermatologist every nine months and take the health of my skin rather seriously. I have no desire to wage war on age; I simply want my skin to look healthy, balanced and properly cared for.
The result is skincare that is minimal, thoughtful, clean and genuinely effective — and, crucially for me, cruelty-free.

I’m not really into gel cleansers I have been using a couple of weeks obviously you can’t get it near the Eye area which is annoying for me I did contact them directly, but nobody has come back to me.

Unfortunately I developed an truly awful outbreak of malassezia folliculitis, aka 'fungal acne',on my forehead, and cheeks after using this cleanser.. I had made no other skincare changes and there were no possible contributing environmental factors. I used the cleanser exactly as directed leaving no residue behind.
This breakout necessitated the expense of a private doctor appointment, and the oral and topical antifungals required to manage it. It has been extremely upsetting and distressing and I have never experienced anything like it before.
Whilst this cleanser is deservedly award winning and is loved by the majority of users, it uses Polysorbate 20 which poses a potential risk for malassezia folliculitis and therefore I would not recommend it to anyone with a history of 'fungal acne'.
I've since read the other negative reviews and note that a number of people mention developing breakouts and just wonder how many of them were potentially fungal as opposed to those of regular acne.
