Original Mattress

Mattress so nice I bought it twice!

Bought my first Leesa mattress in 2017 and loved it. Needed to get a larger mattress in 2026 and figured if it ain’t broke why fix it. Why spend countless hours looking into endless alternatives when i already know I love Leesa. So I bought another one. Maybe I’ll get another one in another 10 years!

Not the same as the original Leesa mattress

I had one of the original Leesa mattresses, bought when the company was just starting out. It was super supportive and comfortable for a side sleeper. The memory foam component was excellent. After nine years, it was getting pretty saggy, so I bought another supposedly "Original" mattress. This mattress seems to have about four inches of doughy soft foam on top of a firm foam base. If I lie on my side, my shoulders and hips sink all the way through to the base foam. This gets uncomfortable after a wile and I have to turn over several times a night. Further, I now wake up with a back ache almost ever morning. I would love to have another mattress like my original Leesa mattress, but this on is certainly not it.

I’m sad.

I loved my Leesa original so I thought I’d give the original with the cooling feature a whirl. Unfortunately for me there is some different about this mattress that causes me to wake up in horrible back pain. It’s the kind of pain that makes walking, bending etc… very difficult. All that being said my husband absolutely loves the mattress and gets a great night sleep. I would recommend Leesa to anyone looking for a great company and a great mattress, it’s just not for me. The old saying “ if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Lesson learned!
