CaffeTech= great! Baratza= BOO!

Upgraded to an Encore after our Krupps burr gave out after 10+ years of flawless service! Following Baratza instructions- the first grind was excellent- quiet, quick and flawless. Second grind- unit clogged. Cleaned unit as per Baratza tutorial. Found all four plastic paddles broken. Second time using machine- fresh beans- empty hopper. Unacceptable. Engaged Baratza directly as per CaffeTech policy. Received polite, albeit slightly condescending dialogue from Baratza warranty dept. It’s been a week- waiting for a replacement part- Portland to Calgary - still nothing. Oh and the replacement? Yes- another plastic part. Not impressed. Hopefully part was defective, but not holding my breath. Expected better quality from a Baratza- even the base model. I’m slowly regretting my decision not buying a cheaper replacement Krupps unit. Lots of static but consistent grind quality and flawless operation. C’mon Baratza!?!?!

Product is great, choice of carriers questionable

Loving this grinder, now that I have received it. CANPAR caused quite a headache missing their delivery estimate 3 times. Suggest using a more reliable carrier in the future.
